Just picked up some weaponry
 

Got another Remington 870 pump action, the reason i bought it is it has 2 extra barrels and a brand new extra set of stocks.

Also picked up a .308 CETME super cheap, my guy had a dozen or so of them.

I live in Canada. We have more draconian laws here. (ie licensing to possess/buy firearms, buy ammo, mandatory registration for all firearms; but we are sometimes allowed to have some better weapons.... like a short barreled shotgun or AR.

We also have a strange prohibition on some pistols. The barrel length must be longer than 105 mm (4.13") so you can put a longer barrel on a mini glock like here http://www.questar.ca/deals/Compacts.htm and get away with it; but a full size revolver with a 4" barrel is prohibited.

All handguns and scary (like assault) weapons are restricted, and there's a list of what you can own or not own. The list of what you may not own is long...

Yes, anyone with a "Possession/Acquisition License" may buy it. It is un-restricted.

Here is an older pic of my "Offshore defense package", I actually have another springfield xd tactical in this case now. It's an m4 carbine .223 from Gunsmoke Enterprises (local shop that makes them).

I thought barrels under sixteen inches were illegal in the US.

Yeah, that CETME is a G3 clone... If their quality control is good and they use quality materials, it should be on par with the HK stuff. I don't know much about it because it was deemed to be evil by the RCMP and prohibited here in Canada. Which is odd, because you can get a Tavor or a version of the Sig 550. But anyways....

I am a huge 870 fan, and I have more than a few copies. Not sure I would want one with an 8-inch barrel as I could see my hand slipping off the forend and in front of the muzzle.

I have got to try the 14-inch versions and they are quite nice for indoor work. I just cannot justify the big price hit induced by chopping off four inches of barrel. I will stick with my 18-inch 870Ps.

I think i just ended up with a slightly used FAL as well, $500, not a bad deal i guess. He's hunting and won't be back until 12/5 so I am going to go look at it then, of course you know I will ultimately end up with it LOL
